Tex's Peps
An online store where nobody sees a price until a human approves them.
Members-only store. The public view shows the access gate. Catalog, pricing, and member content are not reproduced here.

What this had to solve.
Build a storefront for a category where you cannot simply let anyone browse, buy, and check out. Access had to be earned through an application and manual approval, age had to be verified before anything at all was shown, and the whole thing had to work in two languages.
What was built
- A membership gate where guests see an access explanation instead of a catalog
- An application and manual approval workflow with a stated 24 to 48 hour review window
- An age verification gate presented before site content
- A bilingual English and Spanish interface
- A customer referral system
- Custom payment gateway integration for a category standard processors decline
- An account reactivation path for lapsed members
- A custom child theme over a commercial parent theme

Age verification
A 21 and over gate with a remember-me option, applied ahead of content.
Bilingual interface
Full English and Spanish language switching.
Referral system
Existing members can refer new applicants into the approval queue.
Alternative payment processing
Integration with payment gateways that serve categories mainstream processors will not.
